The bright blue sky over Mount Iwate at dawn seen by the watchmakers and technicians at Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi is a sight to behold, especially when tinted with the red of the morning sun. It is this color combination that has inspired the design of this new automatic watch. The blue of the dial is reflected in the vivid blue of the titanium sections of the oscillating weight and a red ring within the sapphire crystal case back reflects the glow of the dawn sun as it rises and causes light to flood through. The watch is powered by Caliber 9S65, which offers a power reserve of 72 hours and an accuracy rate of +5 to -3 seconds per day.
